HelpMeToo app for iPhone and iPad

The application goal is to send alerts to your circle (friends, family…) or to people around you when you need any kind of help or assistance.

My circle

At first you have to create your circle with the option ‘My circle’. There is a button in the ‘My circle’ window named ‘Add or Quit’ to do it. Contacts that are registered in the application will appear here. So you can select them to add to your circle. Contacts that belongs to your circle will appear with a green ball together with their names and a grey ball if they are not included in your circle.

Sending alerts

When you touch the ‘Circle alert’ option the application will send an alert to contacts that are in your circle. These contacts will receive an iOS notification immediately.
When your circle receives an alert, contacts belonging to your circle can see in the ‘My alerts’ window your alert, and touching it they will see your location in a map.

When you touch the ‘Follow me ‘ option the application will send an alert to contacts that are in your circle. They will receive an iOS notification immediately and they can make a tracking of your location because your location will be updated every 5 seconds. The application will use a higher precision location data. Contacts belonging to your circle can see in a map your location. Your location will be refresh in the map touching the refresh button.

The ‘Nearest alert’ option sends an alert containing the written message to the persons registered in the application that are near from your location. The application use a 5 Kms radius by default and they will receive an iOS notification immediately.

My alerts

‘My alerts’ option lets you see your received alerts. When you receive an alert you can see in the ‘My alerts’ window a list of the received alerts, and touching them you can see the location of the sender.

The received alerts are only active for 1 hour since they had been sent.

Notes: The application needs an access to your contacts and location too. Your location will be only showed when you send an alert.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
